Overview
Terich Valley, adorned with apricot and apple orchards, boasts small villages amid its fertile expanse. The vibrant green valley, accentuated by the hues of orange and yellow apricots and apples in late summer, offers breathtaking scenery. Starting from Zani Pass at 3840m, the trek descends to the last human settlement, Shagrom village, where Terichmir Guest House and Camping Site provide accommodation for the night. The pass provides stunning views of Hindukush and Hindu Raj peaks, showcasing vivid color contrasts. The journey continues through Athak and Bandok summer pastures, leading to the birch and willow tree-filled Sheniak Jungle at the base of the lower Terich Glacier. The trek culminates at the lower and upper Terich Glacier, reaching the Base Camp (Babu Camp) at 4700m, with captivating views of 7000m peaks like Tirich Mir (7708m), Noshaq (7492m), Istor-o-Nal (7403m), and others along the way.
